work in groups, choose a great woman you admire and give your reasons. Warming Up (P1)

In groups, discuss the following questions. What kind of person is a great person? What are the qualities that great people have in common?

Summing up: A great person should be determined, hard-working, unselfish, and generous. He should follow his ideas and never lose heart 导入

when he is in trouble. He should be willing to do public service work without pay, be active in social activities, get on well with others, and devote his life to help others, etc.

Look at the pictures and read the information of each of the six persons. In pairs discuss what they have in common and what makes them great. Give your reasons.

Today we’ll learn more about Jane Goodall.
